Japan.

This is just for school so y'all don't needa read thiiis.

The 2011 earthquake off the Pacific coast of Tōhoku had a magnitude of 9.0 It was the most powerful known earthquake ever to have hit Japan, and the fifth most powerful earthquake in the world since modern record-keeping began in 1900.

The earthquake we had in Gisborne in 2007 had a magnitude of 6.8

there was a total amount of 401 aftershocks. 401 little earthquakes after that earthquake.

On 12 September 2012, a Japanese National Police Agency report confirmed just under 16,000 deaths, 6,142 injured, and just under 3,00 people missing,  as well as 130,000, buildings totally collapsed, with a further 254,000 buildings 'half collapsed', and another 691,766 buildings partially damaged. Thats a lot of people without shelter.

Now that we know about what happened and what i went to go learn about here's what i did!

I went to Japan because i won a scholarship there were 66 New Zealand students who were able to be accepted and i was one of them.. Overall there were 800 student who had the same oportunity as me. 800 students from fourteen different countrys.
All the New Zealand students met up in Auckland. it was pretty scary not knowing any of those people but it was fun getting to know them. We had a 12 hour plane ride to get to Tokyo where we stayed in a really flash motel

All 800 of the students involved got split up to go to different places in Japan. I went to a place called Fukushima, a place that had been affected by the earthquake and radiation. there were 110 of us. we attended lots of lecture by people who had been affected by the earhquake telling us what they were doing to help things get better. I met lots of really cool people from Australia, Brunei, India, Singapore and the Philippines. when we didnt have lectures we would just go out in the snow or get to know everyone.

We spent three days at the hotel in Fukushima then got divided into even smaller groups to go to home stays. i stay with a very nice japanese family who couldnt speak very good english but they tried very hard, my host-sister who was the same age as me could speak english well which was good. they taught me about what they did in their everyday lives and just little things they did. i went to school and it was very different to our school. they had elevators because it was six stories high!! we didnt get to spend much time at school though.

we went to a samurai museum and got to dress up in traditional clothing.

It snowed a lot! my host family took me to a very famous dinosaur museum.

This is the bullet train, the Japanese call it the Shinkansen. it can go as fast as 230 km/h. i had to travel on this from Tokyo to Fukushima. it's very efficient and you have exactly one minute to get on and off the train.

In japan they have really crazy t.v ads. we got to watch them at the hotel and its just so different to the t.v and ads here.

Random tip.

Never go to school looking average!! You usually get uglier during the day. So in the morning when you think meh I look alright DON'T!! When you look amazing you get uglier down to pretty, which is still great!! Get it? Don't go to school ugly you just get uglier, go to school pretty and you'll get uglier but still be good?

Just imagine.

'Magine if here was a superpower where you could rewind time for five minutes whenever you felt like it! You could do whatever you wanted! Get it out of your system and you wouldn't have to suffer the consequences!!

A few things I would do:

Haha slap someone when they were talking

You could literally say whatever you feel!

I would tell people I love them the ask if they felt the same way!?

Ugh anytime you did something embarrassing you could just rewind

If you said something funny and everyone laughed you could rewind and say it again just to feel awesome again

If got hurt you could just not

If you got an answer wrong in class you could just not say it OR wait for someone to say the right answer then just rewind and say it before them

Relive amazing moments, like if you go on a roller coaster or something

You could actually do whatever the heck you wanted!

Just something I thought about and wanted to share with all my Internet friends :D I dunno I just think about this stuff sometimes, all the what if's, not like regretful depressing ones just fun happy things that could actually happen to anyone and they wouldn't think it's weird coz they think it's just normal, just what if.

My life is actually amazing.

Be prepared, it's about to get deep!!

I am seriously fully thankful for everyday of my life. I've had a lot of bad days, everyone has! But I'm thankful for those days too! I've had days when absolutely nothing goes right, but I'm totally the type of person who will find at least something that was amazing about that day. I think I am quite a positive person. I hate being angry/frustrated or upset and usually don't stay it for long, I find something funny to laugh at and get over it. But there are people who can't. I just watched this video and it's called to this day, and it's all about how people treat each other sorta stuff, and I just couldn't help thinking how awesome my life is! I consider myself one of the most privelaged people in the world, especially compared to others who have to deal with so much stuff when it's not even their fault.

I have the most amazing family who love me to the death, and care so much about me and how I feel. My sister is just indescribably perfect, she knows pretty much every single thing I ever think, feel and say pretty much. My friends. I have the most amazingest best friends a girl could ask for. I love both their whole families and they make me feel like family. They are the prettiest hori's I've ever met, and make me feel so handsome but I literally love them with a extremely large portion of my heart :D My school is perfection, it's literally like a big family, we all look out for one another. And everyone's so maori, and Maoris are the funniest people! I know every single person at our school and I just love that. My love life isn't amazing from what the average 15 year olds is suppose to be like but you know what? I don't even give!!

I feel like I have the brightest future ever! Haha my penny's dropped and I know schools good for me, I know I have to keep my options open for the future. I just love my life. I'm just so totally excited to find out what's around the river bend :P

Here's the video I watched and I fully recommend you watch it.
